Confirmation

Pilgrim Church holds confirmation classes for students between 7th and 9th grades. This is an important time in the lives of people, these grades are a time of choosing values and beginning to define self. This is a time of identity seeking. It is also a time during which peers matter a lot. We have a confirmation program that seeks to be realistic about these factors, this time of our children’s development.

Confirmation classes meet on Tuesday evenings and include several kinds of activities: learning, fellowship, service and sharing. In doing these things we seek to model the basics of our life in the church. Faith is formed by worship, serving others, fellowship as support of one another, and learning about our faith.

If you have someone in your family who is in grade 7 through 9, and even if they have not been at past classes, please come. Fill out the application form and return to the church office. Our confirmation classes are great experiences of community, a blessing for all involved, kids as well as adults.
