Church School Notes

We are all looking forward to spring and with that we begin thinking of going outdoors to spend time with nature. God has given us so much to
be thankful for. For us, it is hearing the children playing outdoors, starting the spring clean-up and just enjoying each beautiful day.

In Sunday school we introduce the season of  Lent, with the emphasis on stories of our faith, and then we focus on Easter. The children learn
the Easter story, and have the opportunity to share it with family and friends. They will learn an Easter song and create and Easter craft.
In March, we start to practice the Easter music; the children are given the opportunity to carry palm leaves into church on Palm Sunday.

On Saturday, April 3 we have our Easter program followed by the traditional Easter Egg Hunt. These festivities start at 2:00 p.m.
sharp. Please plan ahead so your child (or children) is able to attend.

On Easter Sunday, April 4 at the 8:30 a.m. family service, the Sunday school children will sing their Easter song. Again, please mark your
calendar with the correct time of this service.

The kids’ spring recess from April 19-23 was not included in the calendar of events. Please remember that April 18 will be a Family Sunday.
